Some things I have learned or am learning....
1. If I accomplish nothing during a day besides feeding my children then that is perfectly fine!
2. Little boys can pee on the floor, walls, their mommies or on their own heads!
3. Children have to cry, if Mommy is ever going to eat or pee!
4. That sterilizing baby things, vitamin D drops and tummy time just don't seem to happen for Baby #2.
5. That my daughter has such a soft spot for her brother and its precious to watch.
6. Asking for help or accepting help that is offered is sometimes hard but essential!
7. Snuggling my sleeping son makes a long day seem so much better.
8. A person can survive on approximately 4 hours of sleep a night for over a month.
9. Mastitis really sucks!
10. Even though my kids are beautiful and worth all the hard stuff...we're done at 2 of them!!!
A visit from Auntie Jenna, Finn & William! William and Ben are 8 weeks apart, I think Ben is still as long as Will though!
Stretching it out!
JULIA IS 2!!!
Pat has been trying to teach her how to hold up 2 fingers, her fine motor skills
aren't that developed yet!!!
Julia LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Thomas the Train, so that was her birthday theme!
We had a party for Julia on Sunday, September 9th. Her best buddy Shamus and cousins Braxton & Jack came to her little party. They played outside in the bouncy castle until this crazy wind & rain storm blew in. Then they played inside with the balloons & toys, had burgers, Thomas ice cream cake and pink & purple cupcakes and opened presents. It was really low key but all I could handle since Ben was only 2 weeks old!
Ben got into the party spirit with Grandma
The excitment over her FIRST Barbie and the Barbie car was hilarious and unfortunately made opening the rest of her presents a challenge because she just wanted to play with the "Baabie car"
The Grandparents all came down to celebrate with Julia!
Tuesday, September 11th
HAPPY BIRTHDAY my Sweet Girl!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY my Sweet Girl!
Breakfast was banana pancakes (her favourite) and Smarties! The Smarties did get eaten first!
I painted her toe nails in the morning and Pat took her swimming
She found a Thomas ball and a Toy Story ball....her 2 favorite shows right now!
We went to Boston Pizza for dinner, the servers sang to her and the look of fear, confusion and shock on her face was priceless, so mad I didn't get a picture of it!
Julia loves her brother. When he cries it really worries her so she'll give him his suckie or rub his tummy or say "Its okay Ben, Mommy coming"....he often stops crying when she's around!
I love her relationship with Shamus, its so sweet and they are always so excited to see each other. Shamus's parents have been such a help to us by making dinner, lending us things and watching Julia. Great, great neighbours!
