Family Love

Nothing feels as easy and good as spending time with Family! We are very Thankful for them all!

We haven't seen Baba Stachniak in quite some time so it was nice to be able to get some pictures with her.

Kirsteen came to meet her new niece, Sophia, we got to spend a little time with her when she arrived and before she flew back!

Fall Fun and Madness!

Ally Bally Bee (aka Graggy Alison) turned 60 this summer! We had a Texas scramble and then an amazing dinner at Belvedere. We sure do love Graggy! She is the best!
Auntie D and Uncle Bert came to meet their new granddaughter Sophia, we got to spend Labour Day weekend with them in Sylvan. Julia and this time Ben got to go go-carting! Ben's helmet kept falling off from all the jiggling, that's what Julia is yelling from her cart!
Our kids call Siegrid, Oma, but when Ben said Oma it sounded like Elmo. We all ended up calling her Elmo all summer and for Sieg's birthday her family got her Elmo items!
Our neighbourhood had an end of summer celebration. There was a hot air balloon that was tethered to the ground but was taking people up about 30 feet then coming back down. Ben was scared of the noise the flame was making so he snuggled into his sister. We waited in line for about 20 minutes in a swarm of mosquitos and when we were almost at the front of the line they ran out of fuel! But we got to watch the amazing fireworks right from our backyard, it was an excellent show! Ben still asks to watch the fireworks again and again!
Julia started her "4 year old school" on September 8th! She was so excited to go and barely said goodbye to us! She loves it and is learning so much!
We also had a crazy snow storm that week?! Knocking out power and taking down trees! Last year during the same week it was almost +30!
Ben started gymnastics this September. He is a maniac and can't contain his excitement! He has a hard time staying still to listen to instructions, he just can't wait to "roll & bounce & run!"
We went to watch Pat play in a hockey tournament at Canadian Olypmic Park. The kids rarely watch the game and just run around crazy!
Watching a lady bug!
Ben can't be trusted with felt pens....he also still eats playdoh!
Watching hockey, luge style
Julia started skating lessons in October and she did great! She fell a whole bunch but got right back up again! She wants to be a figure skater (as well as a dancer, teacher, police officer and doctor!)
Julia's preschool class made "Stone Soup" for thanksgiving and parents were invited to enjoy it with them. Graggy and Papa were in town since they had just gotten back from Scotland so they got to come check out preschool and have some yummy veggie soup!
Pat was promoted to Seargent this year and on October 2nd, we went to a ceremony/dinner to celebrate that achievement with the Police Commissioner and Police Chief.
I took the kids to watch the Airdrie Bowl between Bert Church Chargers (my school) and the George McDougall Mustangs. Shannon, the greatest babysitter was there and Julia didn't leave her side the whole time!
