Ben, Julia and I are in Palm Springs enjoying some sun, heat and love from the Grandparents! We go swimming everyday, go on walks (without snow suits!), feed the fish at the pond and have lots of smoothies! Ben loved his first dip in a swimming pool and is "talking" up a storm! Julia has been potty training amazingly well while we've been here and gets 2 smarties every time she goes....although sometimes she thinks she should get some just for sitting on the potty! She is super excited about potty training, I just hope  it continues when we get home! She has also said and done some of the funniest things this holiday that I want to make sure we remember!

Papa was blowing his nose and Julia says "Papa being an elephant!"

She calls her cutlery a dinglehopper and tried brushing her hair with a fork the other night (all because of The Little Mermaid)

She was giving her Papa heck the other day when he was squirting her with a water gun saying "Papa, what my say Papa, what my say, no more Papa"! It was awesome and caught on video!

She likes to tell us stories that all start with "Once upon a time a little girl Julia....."

The girl cracks me up!!!! She's so innocent but smart and we sure do love her!

Quotable Julia

Julia says the funniest, cutest and oddest things, here are a few of our favourite lately!

Pat and Julia are reading a colour book, Pat points to a picture of cheese and asks her what colour it is:
Julia: "Apple"

Julia likes to put her backpack on and says "I go get bad guys", then "Bye Mommy, see you tomorrow" (Daddy goes to get bad guys on a regular basis!)

She is really into Cinderella right now. She spins around like she's dancing and says "I Cinderella, I cinderella" then she falls down (from spinning in circles) and says "I a goofball". She also likes to sing "Sweet Nightingale" like the stepsisters do in the movie...its beautiful!

And when she's ticked off or frustrated at not getting her way she says "Leave my alone"

Benjamin Button

Our sweet little guy is almost 2 months old and has changed our lives so much already! He loves to be snuggled and he's growing like a weed...he gained almost 6 pounds in 5 weeks! He's usually a pretty happy guy, as long as he is being held or in his swing or on his play mat. Ben doesn't nap that great during the day but I am so grateful that he will sleep by himself at night! I sure do love this precious little man!

These are the newborn pictures we had done on September 1st - Ben's orginial due date. He was a week old and Julia is a week shy of her 2nd birthday!

September 19, 2012, Ben is 3 weeks old and having his first tummy time....

 ...it didn't last long because he rolled over...he's so advanced!!!

 Demara came to visit and was such an amazing help! Love her!

We had such a beautiful fall, it was so warm and made it easy to get out for lots of walks!
